How can I purchase Unbound Medicine products for my iPhone, iPad or iPod?

Applications can be purchased either through the Unbound Medicine Website or through the Apple App Store. Products purchased through our website can be accessed across platforms (both iOS and Android devices), however purchases made through the Apple App Store can only be installed to iOS devices. Please visit our website for a full list of products offered by Unbound Medicine.

How do I create a username and password for my account?

Once a purchase has been completed through our website, a confirmation page will appear. You will be presented with the option to "Setup your Account" on the confirmation page (next to the product icon). From this link you will create the username and password, which will allow you to complete the download to your device.

If you should miss this link or prefer to create this information at a later time, please refer back to the registration email. You will receive 2 emails (a receipt confirmation of your purchase as well as a separate registration email). This email is sent once the purchase is complete, and contains a link to register your account. If you do not see this e-mail within five minutes of your purchase, please check your spam/junk mailbox. Please contact our support team for assistance if you do not see this email or have any further questions.

If you have a serial number, you can visit our redemption website to register your account.

If your purchase was made through the Apple App Store, the application should begin updating right away and will not request a username or password on your device. Your purchase is recognized through your Apple ID account. Instead of "Sign In", select the "Restore" option.

Can I install the software to more than one device?

Our products are licensed for use on one mobile and one tablet device at a time. Installing the software to multiple devices can deactivate the subscription or serial number.

How do I delete and reinstall the software on my iOS device?

1. On the homepage of your device, press and hold the app icon until all the icons begin to shake and an "X" appears

2. Tap the "X" above the program you wish to remove

3. After you have removed the selected title, press the Home button at the bottom of the device to reset the Home screen and stop the other icons from shaking

4. Open the App Store on your device and search for Unbound Medicine

5. Download the application appropriate to your purchase
(The version of the application that was previously installed will appear as a cloud symbol with a downward arrow through it; touch the cloud symbol to re-download)

I want to transfer from one device to another. How can I do this?

To transfer products you must have an active subscription. Users with expired subscriptions must renew the subscription to transfer it to a new device. Unbound products are licensed for use on one mobile and one tablet device at a time.

If you have purchased from our website and currently have a username and password, please follow the below steps;

  • Remove the product from your old device. You can do this by pressing and holding the icon until an "X" appears. Press the “X” and then allow to delete
    Open the App Store on your new device and search "Unbound Medicine"
  • Select the appropriate product for current users to begin installation. Enter your iTunes username and password to download. Once the program has been downloaded, open the application and enter your Unbound Medicine username and password

If you have purchased directly through the iTunes store, you will not have a username and password. Instead select the "Restore" option. If you should need to download this application again, please select the version you have previously purchased. As long as you are using the same iTunes account, iTunes will not charge you twice for applications that have already been purchased.

I received a message that states "Account in use." Who should I contact?

This message is generated when a product has been installed to more than one allowed device. Please contact the Unbound Medicine support team to resolve this issue during our operating hours (Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm EST).

Is WiFi required to download my software to my Apple device?

Yes. A wireless internet connection is necessary to install and update the software. Once the software has been installed, a wireless connection is no longer necessary. Our programs are designed to work efficiently in areas where WiFi is not always available such as hospitals, classrooms, and clinical settings.

How do I update the content in my Unbound Medicine product?

When you sync your device you will receive any new features, information, and/or titles which have been added to the software. A notification will appear when an update is available. To perform this sync, open the program to its home page and tap the three lines in the top the left corner of the screen. From the resulting menu, select "Update Content." Please note that a wireless connection is required for any iOS updates.

I am missing content from my application. How can I fix this?

If you are having trouble viewing the application’s content on your device, we recommend that you delete and re-install the application to ensure that it functions properly.

To do so, please follow these steps;

1. Press and hold the icon until all the icons begin to shake
2. Press the "x" above the program you wish to remove
3. Make sure the iPhone/iPad/iPod is connected to a Wifi network
4. Open the App Store on the iPhone/iPad/iPod and search for “Unbound Medicine”
5. Select and download the application
6. Enter your iTunes username and password when prompted
7. Open the program, then enter the username and password you created for the application

*Please note: if you have purchased through Apple, select the "Restore" option instead of signing in.

Can I access Unbound Medicine products on my computer or laptop?

How can I download stickers to my iOS device?

Installation

Registration

Begin the registration process here.

If your purchase was made through the Apple App Store, you will see the option to "Register for Technical Support" once the application begins downloading. If you miss this option, you can uninstall and redownload the application from your Purchased list as long as you are signed in on your device with the Apple ID used to make your purchase.

Download and Installation

Search for "Unbound Medicine"or a specific product title within the Apple App Store on your device. Tap "GET" then "INSTALL" to download the product.

Launching the Application

The application can be launched from your device’s home screen. Tap the app icon and you will be prompted to Preview, Sign In, Restore or Buy (via in-app purchase).

If you have already purchased the application from the Unbound Medicine store, “Sign In” with your username and password to access your subscription.

If you would like to purchase the application or if you have further questions, we encourage you to Preview the application before making your decision. The "Restore" function will re-install your purchased content if you have previously purchased the app via in-app purchase.

Home Screen

The home screen displays your selected content. To open a content resource, tap the desired entry in the list.

Syncing

We recommend that you sync your device often to ensure that you have the most up-to-date content. From the homepage of the app, tap the menu option (showing as a series of three lines) in the upper left hand corner.



On the following screen, click "Update Content":

Jump To

To find an entry quickly and to avoid scrolling through an entire index, use the Jump To feature. Tap the "Jump to..." text box located just above the main index and the keyboard will appear. Begin typing the word you want to find. The cursor will automatically move to the location of the index that matches the characters you type.

Favorites

The Unbound™ Platform allows you to mark important information as a Favorite so you can return to it easily at any time. To view your list of Favorites, return to the home screen and tap the Favorites entry at the top of your list of resources.




To create a Favorite, first navigate to the record you would like to mark. Once there, press the star icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

You can remove a Favorite in one of two ways:

1. Return to the Favorites record and simply deselect the star.

2. Go to your Favorites list, find the record you’d like to remove and swipe it to the left in order to reveal the Delete button ( X shown in red below). Next, click the red X.

Cross Links

Unbound Medicine’s Cross Links feature enables you to access related content across different content channels within an application.

This feature will only appear when linked resources are available. If a linked resource is available, you’ll see the Cross Links icon (opposite pointing arrows) appear in the tool bar at the bottom of the screen.



Tap the icon and you’ll see a new screen which lists all available Cross Links. The icon appearing next to each entry identifies the linked resource. To return to the original resource, use the back arrow in the upper left corner.

Selecting a Resource

The home screen displays a list of available content. To open a resource, select the entry in the list. Some Unbound Medicine applications allow you to edit your subscriptions by logging into the companion website.

Reminder: The reader works with iPhone’s functionality to help you quickly locate the information you need:

  • Drag the touchscreen up or down to scroll
  • When viewing images, slide your fingers either together or apart on the screen to zoom in or out
  • Alphabetical indexes will list the alphabet along the right side of the screen. Tap a letter to jump to entries beginning with that letter
  • To follow your path backwards, use the arrow in the upper left corner
  • To return to the application’s home screen, tap the home icon at the bottom of the screen


Selecting an Index

Many resources are organized by multiple indexes, all of which you will find displayed in a list. To select a particular index, simply tap its title.

Selecting an Entry

To find an entry quickly, use the touchscreen to scroll or the "Jump to" feature as described above. To select an entry, tap its title.



Viewing an Entry

Depending on the content, multiple subsections may be available when viewing an entry. To jump to a particular subsection, click on the sections icon at the bottom right corner to see a list of available subsections. Tap the desired subsection. The section you are currently viewing will be highlighted in yellow. To return to the entry page, use the back button. To select a new entry simply tap its title.
